Interesting article written based on a University of Chicago study, “The Early Catastrophe” on what a tremendous impact words have on children .

Eighty-six percent to 98 percent of the words recorded in each child’s vocabulary consisted of words also recorded in their parents’ vocabularies.

Use good descriptive words both verbally and written and your child’s vocabulary will grow exponentially.
